Gobos enhance design by creating great visuals on walls, floors, backdrops
and other scenic elements. They can even be used in place of scenery.
The appearance of the image can be affected and/or enhanced through the use
of color filters and the angle and focus of the light being used, allowing
for additional design flexibility.

ColourScenic patterns are ideal for images requiring specific color matches or any images with gradients of color. Multi-color glass gobos provide a clear crisp image. ColourScenic® gobos feature up to 20,000 dpi. No "bridging" of the image is required for glass patterns. Apollo has in-house art and manufacturing capabilities that allow for high quality and quick turnaround. We can make glass gobos for any light in the industry.
Apollo colored glass gobos are made from high quality 1.1mm thick borosillicate glass. Glass gobos are not recommended for use in these fixtures; Altman 360Q, Altman 3.5, and Colortran 5-50.

Custom One Color Gobos:
Custom designs made from original artwork are available. One Color gobos have one dichroic plate and are etched to clear. On some original artwork one color gobos must be put on a black plate to avoid a surrounding circle of light. Therefore, we must charge for a two-color pattern, even though you don't "see" the black. Apollo metal gobos are made from an 8 mil stainless steel with a high quantity of nickel and chromium that provide longer life and image quality. The result is durable patterns able to withstand high heat generated from both ellipsoidal and intelligent lights.
The majority of alternative products on the market are made from a 5 mil stainless steel comprised of a large amount of carbon steel that begins to oxidize (rust) and breakdown in a shorter period of time. If a magnet sticks to the pattern, it is mainly carbon steel - which means it is not an Apollo.
Custom Steel
A custom gobo is any pattern in which the original artwork of the desired image is designed and submitted by the user. Apollo has in-house art and production capabilities that allow us to make custom gobos to fit any light in the industry with the quickest turnaround time. Donuts are recommended for use with B&W glass patterns. This allows for a sharper image by blocking out unwanted light. Glass gobos are not recommended for use in these fixtures; Altman 360Q, Altman 3.5, and Colortran 5-50.
